Paul Kochberg, B.A., LL.B., CRP - Senior Partner

Paul has practiced law since his call to the Ontario bar in 1975. His focus has always involved primarily real estate law, as well as an active proficiency in corporate, commercial, wills and estate law. His real estate specialization began when articling with a real estate development firm and further evolved when he became involved in providing services to the relocation industry in 1981. At that time, he identified a need to provide specialized services to transferring employees, their employers and relocation management companies, which led to the commitment to develop a dedicated relocation department within his firm. That commitment continues within Fleischer and Kochberg today.

Paul has been a presenter on real estate specific matters at Canadian Employee Relocation Council (“CERC”) and Employee Relocation Council (“ERC”) conferences and seminars across North America, has published and is a contributor of real estate specific articles to the CERC News. Paul has been the senior partner in his firm since 1989 and in 1997, he attained the designation of Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) at ERC.

Jill Weir-McLean - Office Manager and Legal Assistant

Jill has been with Fleischer and Kochberg since 1981 and has dedicated her professional career to the development and growth of a high volume domestic and global relocation real estate practice at the firm. She has hands on responsibility for all aspects of our service delivery team including: file initiation; volume tracking; prioritization and control of work loads and flows; leadership and issues resolution; develop and monitor service processes; research into evolving trends; liaison with clients and transferees, attorney-agent network partners, title insurance providers, and relocation industry colleagues; and implementing computerization initiatives and upgrades.

Jill keeps current of relocation and real estate industry trends through regular attendance at Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC) and Employee Relocation Council (ERC) conferences and regional seminars (16 and 10 years respectively). Jill is also a former member of the CERC Editorial Committee and active volunteer in that organization.
